Hotshot Christmas holiday period 2023
In observance of the upcoming Christmas holidays, please be informed that there will be a slight delay in our service operations. Our team will be taking a well-deserved break to spend time with their loved ones during this joyous time.
This is being done to minimize the risk of customer-impacting events occurring at a time of reduced staffing levels across our organization.
While we are working with a reduced workforce we will reply to your emails as normal. If for any unforeseen reason, you experience some delays, we respectfully ask for your patience and support.
The Hotshot Xmas holiday period is defined as:
- START: 23:59 Friday 22 December 2023
- END: 06:00 Wednesday 10 January 2024
Call-Center
- The call center will operate during normal business hour but there might be extended wait times in the queue before our representatives can attend to your calls.
- Call Center will be closed from December 24th to December 26th and again from December 31st to January 2nd.

New Orders
- New Orders can still be placed, although the number of technicians and provisioning staff working through the Christmas holiday period will be reduced in-line with forecasted demand for provisioning work.
- New connections may require a longer duration than our usual activation period (typically within 48 business hours).
- New connections cannot be activated on Public Holidays(24th, 25th Dec and 1st,2nd Jan)
- If a new connection necessitates installation, it will not be completed between December 20th and January 10th.
Network Maintenance & Fault Restoration
- Hotshot will continue to provide fault diagnosis throughout the Christmas holiday period.
- If the fault requires dispatching a technician from the fiber company for restoration or repair, there might be a delay due to limited availability of technicians during the holiday period.
